    NDRRMC: Several roads in NCR, Luzon still impassable

    Several roads in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon remained impassable to vehicles due to floods brought by Tropical Storm Falcon (Meari).

    The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council also said at least two major Luzon dams have opened gates to prevent a spillage of water.

    In its noon report, the NDRRMC said the impassable roads include:

  • Valenzuela City: Brgy. Balangkas near Deata Elementary School, the corner of MH del Pilar and Bisif in Brgy. Bisig, Hulo and Puso Streets in Brgy. Coloong, the San Simon Subdivision in Dalandan, Zone 2 in Brgy. Isla, Zone 5 in Brgy. Palasan, the corner of Pasolo and G. Lozano in Brgy. Pasolo, the front of Brgy. Polo, and Brgy. Lingunan from rubber master to Dumpsite are all impassable to light vehicles.
  • Malabon City: Mesina in Tenejeros, Merville in Dampalit, Bautista in Panghulo, Adante, Rivera, and Estrella inTanong, Sitio 6 in Catmon, Ortega and Santiago in Tonsuya, Panghulo Road, F. Nicolas and Vicencio in Niugan, Borromeo and CMU in Longos, Lascano in Tugatog, Don Basilio, and General Luna along Jacinto to Meralco are all impassable to light vehicles.
  • Parañaque City: road/s in or around Brgys Baclaran (Bagong Sikat, Bagong Ilog, Bagong Lipunan), Tambo (seaside, Camp Claudio, St. Joseph, Quirino), Sto Nino (Kaingin, Casino Filipino), Vitalez (Banana Compound, Airlane), San Isidro (Valley 15, Valley 2, Valley 6, Purok 3 & 5, Matatdo) San Antonio (Bodoni Dulo Area 3, Lower 5-4 Area) BF Homes (Lagoon Area) Don Bosco (Amethyst Street, Annex 19 & 18, El Dorado Dulo, Malacanang Dulo) and Sun Valley (Annex 41) are not passable to light vehicles.
  • Pasay City: Brgys 177, 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, and 185 are all impassable to light vehicles.

    In Benguet, the Baguio-Bontoc Road (Km 283+800) Topdac Section is partly passable due to rockslides.

    The Shilan-Beckel Road K0263+740 is closed to traffic due to a road cut.

    In Central Luzon:

  • Zambales, the road along Brgy Antipolo, San Antonio eroded is not passable to all types of vehicles and Brgy San Miguel, San Antonio eroded but still passable to all types of vehicles.
  • Tarlac: one lane is closed due to a 0.60m x 0.70m pothole on the bridgedeck slab of the northbound lane of the Cut-cut Bridge Km 105+707 along the Manila North Road in Capas, Tarlac.

    Meanwhile, the NDRRMC said the Ambuklao and Binga Dams opened gates to let out “excess” water.

    Ambuklao opened one gate at 0.5 meter while Binga opened two gates at one meter, the NDRRMC said. — RSJ, GMA News
